How is it almost November? Only another 6 weeks or so left of the working year which is very exciting! October favourites are officially here.
I didn’t really pick up anything new this month but I still had trouble narrowing down my favourites! My first favourite is the Schwarzkopf Leave-In Conditioner which I picked up in the last Priceline 50% off hair care sale. I only use this one on weekends as it’s the only time I leave my hair to dry naturally, unfortunately. I’ve noticed that my hair is more silky than usual since I have started using this, and I can put a fair bit on without overloading my hair. I’ll continue using and let me you know my full thoughts soon!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Mother is such a nice shade! I was visiting the Gold Coast Sephora at the opening and came across the KVD stand. I already had the contour kit and know how good it is, so I decided to pick up a few shades of her liquid lipsticks to try out! You can read more about my little haul here. This is my favourite liquid lipstick formula at the moment, and I find it dries quickly, spreads easily and doesn’t flake off my lips but rather fades naturally. These are all must haves in any liquid lipstick.
The Tarte Blush Wheel is from the 2016 holiday collection from the brand. It came on sale in a special two-day sale at Sephora Australia and despite owning more blush than any human needs – I decided this was a worthy purchase. I’ve used it a tonne since getting it, with eight of the shades being blush colours and two being highlighters. I’ve got a post in the works comparing it to other blushes in my collection coming soon. The quality of this is really the same as other powder products from Tarte, I feel everything is consistent. The blush wheel should be returning at some point in November to Sephora, in stores and also hopefully online!
Rimmel Sculpting Palette* was a surprising love, and I had no expectations whatsoever after being sent this for editorial consideration. I think the staying power of all three powders is on par with any quality high-end product, and all three colours surprisingly suit me! I love using this trio and I think it will be something I consistently use because it’s so convenient.
Tartelette in Bloom is a palette I also picked up at the Sephora opening as well – and it has already featured in my August Favourites this year! The shade range is brilliant, the formula is long lasting and buttery, and I whilst I am not adventurous enough to mix rows, I find that there is more than enough variation to keep entertained. I actually think this is even better than the original Tartelette and I love that palette! I would highly recommend the Tartelette in Bloom palette – it’s a great size, sturdy packaging, and the colours are suitable for day and night which is hard to find in a palette.
