My Makeup Collection – And How I Organise It

makeup collection organized

Hi everyone! We finally got internet in our new house and boy have I missed blogging, I plan to get back into a regular blogging schedule, uploading on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s. If you love organisation and peeking into other people’s makeup collections like I do, you’ll love this post!

We’ll start with an overview of my makeup shall we? I keep it all in these acrylic drawers I ordered from Catch of the Day in March for $39.95 + postage ($10 I think), which are currently sold out – but seem to restock at random times, so keep an eye out if you’re keen! I compliment these drawers with a makeup organiser from Kmart for $7 (Bargain alert!!), which is wear I keep my foundations, lipsticks and lip liners as well as small perfume samples in tubes. This fits on top width-wise but is not the full length of the drawers. I also have my brush holders which you can find a DIY on here.

We’ll go through each drawer shall we…

foundation, concealer, primers organised

In my top drawer I keep my concealers (MAC Prolongwear NW20, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard, and Maybelline Age Rewind in Pale/Fair), Primers (For face: Too Faced Primed & Poreless), (For Eyes: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Sephora Eye Shadow Primer, UD Primers – All 4 as samples from Naked palettes), and my pressed powder collection (Napoleon Perdis Camera Finish in G1, Australis Fresh n Flawless in Natural, Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium-Dark – too dark for me), as well as my By Terry Translucent Powder sample from my Beauty Loop, and a pot I use to dispense my Mac concealer into. I got that Mac primer stuff as a sample in a package and I haven’t used it yet to be honest.

Lip product collection maybelline color drama pencils paw paw velourlips lime crime lush mint julips

My lip drawer is a bit mixed, as I keep all my lipsticks in the acrylic holder for them. This drawer holds my Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencils I love so much (One – Nude Perfection – is currently in my handbag haha), my Lime Crime Velvetines, Australis Velourlips, Paw Paw Ointment, Go-To Skincare lip balm (This has gone a bit funky lately, anyone else?), and my Lush Mint Julips Scrub as well as a bunch of random balms and glosses I never use cause I don’t use gloss!

Blush Bronzer highlighter collection hourglass nars australis benefit essence the body shop mary lou the balm

This is probably my favourite drawer! It holds my blush, bronzer and highlighter collection. My bronzers include Laguna by Nars, Hoola by Benefit, and the contour bronzers in the Australis contour and highlighting it. The blushes I own are an unknown one from the Body Shop (Seriously about 6 years old – Still good ha!), Petal by Savvy B, Adorable by Essence, Orgasm by Nars (I have the Laguna/Orgasm duo – great value!), and my beloved Hourglass palette (LOVE this palette, it’s my newest addition to my collection and I plan to collect them all eventually! Too much?). In regards to highlighters I own Mary Loumanizer by The Balm, and the highlighters in the Australis palette. I also own a few random sample size bottles of CC cream and illumanizer handed down from Mum but I don’t get much use out of them.

eyeshadow duos eyebrow organisation

In my fourth drawer, I keep all my eyeshadow duos from sample packs, mainly from Estee Lauder, Lancome and Clinique which are all a fair few years old, my Maybelline Color Tattoos (Must remember to get more use out of these!) and my eyebrow tools from Benefit, Essence and Maybelline. Not a big fan of the Maybelline brow gel as I found it hard to get off and it stayed in my lashes for days overseas! However I have always loved and gone back to Benefit Gimmie Brow, even though the price for a tiny tube is a small fortune!! I only tend to use my Brow Zings by Benefit at night, and then I use the Essence clear gel over the top.

mascara collection too faced maybelline benefit clinique eyeliner collection mac clinique maybelline revlon

In my second last drawer I keep my eyelash curler (Just a no-name from Coles – My eyelashes curl for like 2 seconds then go straight again so I don’t bother half the time, any tips?), my mascaras which include Benefit’s They’re Real & Rollerlash (Still on my sample!) Clinique’ Impact Mascara in sample size, full sizes of Maybelline One by One volum express (Devastated this was discontinued!), Maybelline Define-a-lash and Too Faced’s Better than sex (Don’t hate me, but I’m not the biggest fan of this as it flakes on me!).
In my pencil eyeliner collection I have Mac, Maybelline and Estee Lauder, and in my Liquid Eyeliners I have my old Revlon (This needs to go actually…), and my new fave, the Maybelline Master Precise. I don’t really wear eyeliner much as I feel it just looks too much on me.

Naked palette organisation too faced natural mattes

My second favourite drawer belongs to my eyeshadow palettes! I have all three Urban Decay Naked palettes (Naked one is my fave), Naked basics by Urban Decay and Too Faced’s Natural Mattes palette. I love all of my palette’s and I feel they’re a good investment, considering how many colours you get and the quality. Too faced is ridiculously pigmented, and will last an extremely long time for example! I feel Too Faced’s Natural Matte’s palette compliments my Naked palette’s as there’s not many matte shades in each of them – bar the Basics Palette.

pefume collection marc jacobs voktor & rolf roberto cavalli britney spears body shop

In my perfume collection I have Marc Jacobs “Oh, Lola”, “Daisy” and “Honey”, Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb (Favourite!), a sample size of Roberto Cavalli’s Paradiso which I’m loving, The Body Shop’s Vanilla, and Neroli Jasmine perfumes which I have had for a fair while and Britney Spears’ Fantasy perfume, which was a huge favourite when I was a teenager.

makeup brush collection real techniques kit cosmetics beauty blender e.l.f

Lastly, I have my brush collection. I decided not to bother showing you the brushes in the third jar as I really don’t use them, since I received my Real Techniques brushes. I own the Core Collection, Power brush, Expert Face brush, Travel Essentials pack, Eye Starter Set, Shadow Brush, Stippling Brush, Blush Brush and Setting Brush. I also own Beauty Blender Pro which I love (I actually ordered the Pink Original and the micro mini beauty blenders yesterday so I should have them soon to add to my collection!). I recently bought the Kit Cosmetics Contour Brush which I quite like as it’s really full as easy to blend with and I have the E.L.F cosmetics Fan brush for highlighting.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my makeup collection and how I organise it! Leave me a link to your makeup collection/organisation posts in the comments and you can bet I’ll check them out! Have a great week everyone 🙂
