What’s in my Makeup Bag

Whats in my makeup bag tag

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m both intrigued and obsessed with knowing what’s in other’s everyday makeup bags! It’s a really telling tale of someone’s favourite products, as you wouldn’t really pack multiple of anything in your main makeup bag. Here’s a peek in my makeup bag!

I admit, I don’t generally keep an everyday makeup bag, as I keep my makeup in Acrylic Drawers (You’ll find a previous post here) but I tend to use the same products most of the time. First up, my bag is an old one from Clinique that came with one of those sets from Myer in their “Gifts with Purchase” from my Mum, but I just love the colours!

For Face products, I have 2 foundations, Nars Sheer Glow which is more radiant and a satin finish, and Estee Lauder Double Wear which is a matte finish and suitable when I need my makeup to stay put. My go-to concealer lately has been Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer as it’s easy application makes my morning routine much quicker as I can quickly blend it with either my fingers or Beauty Blender and it looks great! I love my Mac Prolongwear concealer, however the application process is annoying as the pump produces so much product and sometimes I can’t be bothered to pump it into an additional container to not waste any. I also use the Napoleon Perdis Camera Finish powder to avoid any flashback where I can!

For Primers, I predominantly use Hourglass’s No.28 Primer Serum which I first picked up a sample from at my local Mecca a month ago because my skin has been one dry desert! I love this Serum and find it totally worth the exxy price tag ($29 for the little tube above – 10ml) as it’s helped heaps in a short amount of time, and I’d recommend it for anyone with dry skin, or even just for Winter. For my eyes I use Too Faced’s Blue Shadow Insurance which I’ve actually been a bit disappointed with lately, stay tuned for a disappointing products post soon!

For my eyes, I find the Urban Decay Naked One palette the most versatile of all my eyeshadow duo’s/palette’s as I can use it for so many looks, however I also use the Naked Basics One a lot because it has a lot of matte’s, which the regular Naked palette’s tend to lack. My Eyebrows, I use Benefit’s Gimmie Brow in Dark Brown which is perfect as I like a natural brow look.

For my face, I love my Hourglass blush palette for it’s versatility of shades, as well it’s Nars Orgasm in my Orgasm/Laguna duo. For bronzer I have always used Benefit Hoola as it’s not glittery and as it’s more grey based, I can do a little contour with it. I recently picked up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and I’ve been using it for highlighting and a lovely overall finish to minimise pores.

For lips I like to have a nude, a fun colour and a bright colour! For example, generally I have MAC Velvet Teddy, MAC Rebel, and MAC Ruby Woo. I also love the Maybelline Lip Pencils I’ve posted about many other times, particularly Nude Perfection!

Go on, show me what’s in your makeup bags! Comment with your link if you have one 🙂
